Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this site, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Here's where we stand, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Our commitment

The Heat Exchange Corporation wants electofusion.com to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or a keyboard instead of a mouse. We treat accessibility as part of building the site, not an extra.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines, from the World Wide Web Consortium, explain how to make web content usable by people with a wide range of disabilities.

Based on our own testing, we believe the site meets WCAG 2.2 AA. It hasn't been independently audited, though, so there may be problems we haven't found. If you run into one, please tell us.

What we've built in

  • A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page
  • One main heading per page, a clear heading structure and labelled regions and menus, so screen reader users can jump straight to what they need
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline. The menu on small screens closes with the Escape key.
  • Text descriptions for images, with decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
  • Visible labels on every form field, with required fields marked and form messages read out by screen readers
  • Text and controls that meet the WCAG color contrast minimums
  • Links that open a new tab say so
  • Pages that reflow on small screens and when zoomed in, without sideways scrolling
  • Buttons and main links big enough to tap easily
  • Animations that switch off when your device asks for reduced motion

Known limitations

  • The contact form sends your message by opening your email app. If you don't use one, or it doesn't open, email or text us directly instead. It reaches the same person.
  • Sites we link to, such as Wefunder, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok, aren't under our control and may not meet the same standard.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, and with the screen readers and other assistive technology commonly used with them, such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack. It's built with standard HTML and CSS, plus a small amount of JavaScript.

How we checked

We tested the site against WCAG 2.2 AA in October 2026: automated checks of every page with axe, plus manual checks of keyboard use, focus, color contrast and layout on screens as narrow as 320 pixels. It hasn't been audited by an independent accessibility specialist yet.
